N2 - In this study, the analysis and development of a standardisation of the torque used for sealing soft drink bottles will be carried out in order to help companies dedicated to the production of soft drink bottles to obtain a seal that meets the quality standards through the application of a single measurement for all the different presentations and volumes of soft drink bottles and caps. For this work, different torque tests were carried out with a capping machine and a manual torque meter to calculate the force applied for sealing. Our hypothesis is that, through the tests and the information collected, we can obtain a constant force measured in pounds which will adapt to all the bottle presentations commonly used in almost all soft drinks and carbonated beverages companies, which are 650 ml, 1.5 L and 3 L, thus obtaining a seal that is approved by quality standards. That is why we proceeded to carry out tests or simulations which were carried out on samples of bottles of the formats and volumes already mentioned in which a sealing study was carried out, in order to estimate the force necessary to apply to comply with all the measures given by the companies producing soft drink bottles, in total 54 samples were made, after the tests were carried out the data obtained were taken, Finally, the discussion was carried out and then the results, which showed that there is a variation of the torque due to the effect of the change of format of the soft drink, this raised and demonstrated by means of a simple formula thanks to real tests and statistical analysis that have allowed to justify the reason of this idea and to try to contribute data and studies before problems on automatic capping machines of bottling of drinks.
