Abstract

Digital journalists must be trained with a competent curriculum and skills that strengthen their leadership to exercise the profession. This research is a system-atic review documenting digital journalism trends in Ibero-America. For this purpose, the Ebsco database was used. Eleven articles that responded satisfactorily to the proposed objective were selected. Among the eligibility criteria, full academic publi-cations with open access and articles written in Spanish and published between 2009 and 2019 were considered. Likewise, a screening was carried out to start addressing the subject. Some criteria were taken into account for the writing of the study, the information was filtered, and selection cards were applied for a correct understanding and categorization of the information. Therefore, the information was divided into two categories, showing the perspective of digital journalism before COVID-19 and establishing a contrast with the current demands determined by the labor market.
