N2 - The main objective of this research work is to evaluate how it is possible to reduce operating costs of the process of receiving raw materials within a company agroindustrial through improvement tools, for which considers it necessary to start diagnosing the context situational of reception process on the company through from an Ishikawa diagram; from which it can be determined that the root causes of the high costs that may have detect; ordered by economic impact, they correspond to: lack of a preventive maintenance program for machinery, the lack of correct handling of loading units (pallets), lack of staff training and lack of capacity plant. After that, the analysis of indicators through statistical control and quality management tools, application of the Six Sigma methodology, the deployment of quality function through the Quality House (QFD), the AMFE matrix and the DMAIC matrix gave way to the generation of improvement alternatives that contribute to the reduction of high costs that were detected in the initial diagnosis, which were reduced from $24,620.5 to $15,446.00, avoiding a loss of $9,174.5.
