N2 - Working on the continuous improvement of the quality of undergraduate programs is a priority for universities around the world, and for that purpose, several accrediting agencies are responsible for verifying the achievement of high quality standards. This paper provides details of the assessment procedure of student outcome (SO) related to the Industrial Engineering degree program of Universidad Privada del Norte. The evaluation was conducted by using instruments based on measuring rubrics that are designed for students as well as surveys designed for graduates and employers. The data collected from these sources are aggregated and analyzed to quantify the achievement of the student outcomes. Rates for students of 81.7% ± 7.81, graduates 98.17% ± 2.55 and employers 94.58% ± 4.16, form the basis for the activities of the continuous improvement process in the Industrial Engineering degree program. This study provides details about the measurement procedure for student outcomes and serves to demonstrate an educational practice for the process of accreditation in an engineering degree program.
