Abstract

The objective of this work was to determine the aquifer potential of the lithostratigraphic units in the Ronquillo Sector, Cajamarca, which presents water shortages. For this, the method of electrical tomography (TGE) was applied. The TGE was applied using the Dipole-Dipole configuration technique to determine the resistivity and to delimit the possible aquifers. 4 lines (L-1, L-2, L-3, L-4) were made, this information was analyzed in the Geosoft Oasis Montaj Software, managing to identify 4 geoelectric layers. The results of the interpretations show an Aquifer potential in layers 1 and 2 of lines 1 to 4, which are geologically correlated with volcanic rocks of the San Pablo Formation (Tobas), which present high saturation of the presence of water.
