Abstract

One of the main causes of the environmental problem is the indiscriminate use of plastic, especially bags; Therefore, agreements are established to reduce their production, distribution and use, so that some governments have enacted regulations that seek to achieve this objective. In this article, we analyze the proposals of Chile and Peru, applied in 2018 and almost simultaneously. A synthesis of both laws is also made and compared, showing some differences in the economic and social aspect.
