N2 - This article is a comparison of the surface water treatment of the Mashcón River in the Province of Cajamarca, 2022, with the biocoagulants starch Solanum tuberosum, mucilages of Salvia hispanica and Opuntia ficus-indica, with the aim of reducing turbidity., applying the following method: the jar test, the same one that was operated at 100 RPM at high speed for 1 minute and at 40 RPM for 3 minutes at low speed, with which the following results were obtained, Solanum tuberosum starch, was obtained a removal of 97 %, with the Salvia hispanica 97 % and finally with the Opuntia ficus-indica we obtained a removal of 98 % reaching a final turbidity of 4.9 NTU that according to the supreme decree Nº004-2017-MINAN of the Peruvian laws, is found in the value within the ECA (5 NTU) as the allowed value for drinking water, it is concluded that the three biochemicals have good efficiency in the removal of turbidity, being the Opuntia ficus-indica who achieves the highest percentage of turbidity removal that makes this mucilage viable in future uses in water treatment.
