Abstract

The incorporation of information and communication technologies in education pose various challenges and opportunities for the educational community. This article presents the results of a study on the relationship between digital skills and professional development in teachers of Public Institutions in the department of Puno. For this, a quantitative, non-experimental, transactional and basic type study was carried out; in which two questionnaires were used as instruments for the estimation of the variables, these instruments were validated by expert judgment, the research population consisted of 85 teachers, the questionnaire for the digital skills variable considered 34 items with three dimensions: instrumental, cognitive and methodological didactic skills, as well as the questionnaire for professional development with 33 items and considered the dimensions: organization of time, planning and virtual resources. The data obtained was subjected to a statistical analysis, concluding that digital skills and professional development have a significant relationship.
