N2 - In this study, the concentration and proportion of nopal cactus were modified to analyze the clarification, turbidity, suspended solids and pH of irrigation water. The levels investigated for the concentration of nopal cactus were 30 and 40 mg/L and for the ratio of the natural coagulant to aluminum sulfate were 10/90, 30/70 and 50/50. The population was constituted by water from the Moche River located in the province of Trujillo, which has an approximate flow of 8.8 m3/s in summer time and the sample was collected near the district of Moche in a strategic point, it was 80 liters. The results show that the turbidity decreases with the proportion and concentration of the coagulant, as well as the total suspended solids, the pH was stabilized, achieving the highest coagulant efficiency of 96.3% at a concentration of 30 mg/L and a proportion of 30% natural coagulant with 70% aluminum sulfate, this being the appropriate dosage that shows the best results.
