Abstract

Currently, many companies in the textile sector seek to generate greater profitability and increase their production without increasing their costs, however, they do not adopt the implementation of technology or other improvement factors, since they are not willing to adapt to the new changes that can be implemented and much less to invest money in executing a new improvement. Due to this, the main objective of this research is to describe the production strategies in textile companies. The research was carried out through a systematic review of the scientific literature identifying the advantages and limitations found when implementing production strategies. The research was carried out through a systematic review of the scientific literature identifying the advantages and limitations found when implementing production strategies. In the research process, scientific articles, research theses for opting for different degrees of study and scientific journals from reliable sources such as: EBSCO, Dialnet, University Repositories, Google Scholar, Cybertesis, ProQuest and Redalyc. The inclusion criteria for this research were documents related to the textile sector that demonstrate an impact on companies belonging to the Latin American market in a period of no more than 10 years. The possible limitations in implementing production strategies are the high costs and implementation time, such as personnel training, resistance to change, etc. Finally, having carried out this research, it was possible to confirm the positive impact that the different production strategies had on companies in the textile sector, reducing production costs and increasing the productivity of each one of them.
