Abstract
Objective: To determine the relationship between quality management and labor productivity in an importing company located in the Lima district in the year 2024. Method: This study follows a quantitative approach, applied research type, correlational level, non-experimental design, and cross-sectional analysis. An instrument was developed to measure the quality management variable, consisting of 39 questions, and another instrument to measure the labor productivity variable, consisting of 20 questions. Additionally, a content validity analysis of the instrument was conducted with three expert judges, determining a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.951 and 0.912, respectively. Consequently, the questionnaire was sent to the census sample composed of 35 employees of the importing company. Results: Ultimately, a considerable positive relationship was determined between quality management and labor productivity, with a Spearman’s Rho correlation coefficient of 0.725. Conclusions: It is concluded that increasing the application of quality management in the operational process of the importing company tends to significantly enhance labor productivity. On the other hand, it was identified that a higher level of teamwork does not generate a significant increase in labor productivity. .
