N2 - Natural disasters are always a threat to people living in areas vulnerable to them, only an adequate disaster risk management could generate peace of mind and quality of life for those potentially affected. Therefore, the present study aims to determine the existence of a relationship between disaster risk management and quality of life in vulnerable areas of the District of San Miguel, Lima 2023. This study was non-experimental, transectional and descriptive correlational. The sample was chosen through a non-probabilistic method, which consisted of 95 inhabitants of vulnerable areas. Questionnaires were used as measurement instruments and the survey as a technique. It was determined that, statistically, there is a positive relationship of weak but significant magnitude between disaster risk management and quality of life, with a coefficient Rho = 0.311 and a Sig. = 0.002. Thus, it can be affirmed that, in the sample studied, if disaster risk management is high, the quality of life of the inhabitants in vulnerable zones of the district of San Miguel, Lima 2023, will also be in good condition.
