N2 - The aim of this study was to mitigate costs associated with machine maintenance which directly impact quality within a frozen food processing company located in the Libertad region of Peru. The initial step involves pinpointing machinery issues within the company, with identified causes including inadequate availability of quality spare parts, lack of a maintenance plan, insufficient training, and ineffective management of technical information. The analysis of root cause indicators was conducted thought statistical control and quality management tools. ISHIKAWA diagrams were employed, Quality Function Deployment (QFD) with its Quality House, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and the DMAIC Six Sigma Methodology to reduce costs. Upon study completion, the results proved to be efficiency, with reduced monetary losses associated with each root cause and improved statistical performance across investigated indicators, as evidenced by an increase in Z Levels across all 4 indicators. Initial losses amounted to S/ 121,490.00 soles, while improved losses totaled S/ 108,345.00 soles, yielding a benefit of S/ 13,145.00 soles.
