Abstract
A research work was carried out whose objective was to reduce operational costs in a footwear company in the city of Porvenir, department of La Libertad. In principle, the production area of said company was analyzed and it was stated that it had considerable drawbacks, due to to the number of products with defects that generate high levels of losses for the company. In addition, the research work shows the improvement proposal, and the economic analysis that corresponds to it. In the company, some of the problems that are having a negative influence are taken into account, such as a lack of raw material requirements, Lack of staff training, Lack of a good implementation of plant distribution and a lack of induction for staff. Likewise, in order to achieve this improvement, tools such as the Ishikawa Diagram, Pareto Diagram, Quality House Function Deployment (QFD), Failure Modal and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and the DMAIC Methodology were used. and Six Sigma. To conclude the investigation, favorable results were obtained, reducing the monetary losses related to each root cause, optimizing the statistical behavior of the 4 analyzed indicators.
