N2 - The objective of this research is to determine the impact of a proposal to improve quality management in the packing process of an agroindustry in Trujillo, Peru. An initial diagnosis of the shrinkage associated with boxes of finished product was made through the Ishikawa diagram, in which four causes for the high production costs were found lack of: training, clear instructions, ergonomic workstation and verification of the final information in the printing of the preparation order. Therefore, we implemented tools such as Histogram, Control Chart, Pareto Diagram, QFD, FMEA and Six Sigma. The improvement proposal had a significant impact, increasing profitability in the packaging process and reducing the cost of finished product box wastage, avoiding line stoppages and increasing the quality of the packaging. The feasibility of the improvement proposal was supported with a comparison of the SIX SIGMA Z LEVEL, obtaining as a result an initial Z and an improved Z CR1(0.18/1.06), CR2(1.46/1.77), CR3(0.08/2.47), CR4(-0.55/0.09). The final conclusion were that improvement proposal is extremely advantageous to reduce the losses of packaging, improving efficient, quality and process profitability.
