Implementación de la Gestión de Mantenimiento para mejorar la Disponibilidad de las unidades de transporte de la empresa Servicios Generales EC Chacas, Lima, 2024

The company Servicios Generales EC Chacas, dedicated to the transport of cargo by rail, presents problems with low production of trips and poor availability of its units for the services to be provided, due to the lack of general maintenance management. Application-type investigation, which collects general information about the company, repair times, number of failures, maintenance costs, income and general data for the investigation. The information was collected using data collection instruments and, above all, it was worked based on maintenance management tools and indicators to analyze and implement a plan to follow. As an added value, the ABC classification of materials is applied, as it adjusts to the implemented maintenance program. The results were obtained based on the objectives of the investigation: the current availability of the company was 51.18%, and a maintenance cost of S/77,762.92 in the semester evaluated. With implementation, availability increased by 95.87%, also optimizing maintenance costs at S/61,400.53.
