Abstract
The main objective of this study is to determine the influence of replacing fine aggregate with copper slag on the properties of concrete, both in its fresh and hardened state. An experimental study was conducted, in which a standard mix was prepared without fine aggregate replacement and three additional mixes with the same proportions but different percentages of copper slag replacement. The properties evaluated were consistency and normal compressive strength. The results for the fresh concrete showed that, as the percentage of fine aggregate replacement with copper slag increased, the consistency of the mix became more fluid. Regarding the properties of the hardened concrete, it was observed that the optimal replacement value was 10%, while higher percentages showed results similar to those of the standard concrete.
