Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the compressive strength of specimens cured by spraying 2, 3 and 5 times a day compared to specimens cured by immersion in water, quantifying the reduction of the compressive strength of concrete according to the number of times they were cured per day. Recording the data obtained in each of the tests of the aggregates and concrete specimens, in the protocols of the Universidad Privada del Norte, processing this information through tables and graphs. The results show that considering 100% the resistance achieved by the standard specimens in the tests at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days, determining that the specimens cured twice a day reached between 70.93% and 74.61%, the specimens cured three times a day reached between 79.97% and 81.77% and the specimens cured five times a day reached between 82.16% and 86.76%. Concluding that resistance decreases directly according to the number of times spray curing is performed, being close to 30% when curing twice a day.
