Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of emotional intelligence and social intelligence on entrepreneurial intention, considering the mediating role of entrepreneurial competencies in university students at a business school. The data were collected from a sample of 159 university students. The results show that emotional intelligence and social intelligence have a positive and significant influence on the development of entrepreneurial skills, which have a direct and relevant effect on entrepreneurial intention. Likewise, the mediating role of entrepreneurial skills in the relationship between socio-emotional skills and the intention to undertake is confirmed. These findings provide empirical evidence on the relevance of integrating the development of emotional, social, and entrepreneurial competencies in university education, with implications for the design of programs aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial intention.
