Abstract

Currently, Peru and Latin American countries, due to their tropical climate, are presenting a public health problem related to the proliferation of mosquitoes, which are considered as vectors that transmit diseases such as Dengue, Sika, among others, there are many strategies related to the prevention of the disease, as a standard strategy is fumigation. In this work we present a low-cost system for monitoring the mosquito breeding process, based on providing an ecosystem that allows their reproduction, accompanied by a vision system that allows to evaluate the presence of larvae, which will allow to analyze the presence of adult mosquitoes, having as information that their flight radius is approximately 400 meters, with which to take better strategies. The proposal consists of providing a container with clean water that allows the deposit of eggs, this deposit is monitored by a camera that records the video at all times or when it detects movement in the container, the camera is connected to a device that provides internet camera, which can be viewed in real time and remotely from a monitoring station or through mobile devices, the presence of larvae in the containers, as a result we present an example of the configurations and the way of working so that it can be replicated and scaled depending on the needs.
