Abstract

Information and communication technologies are allowing the emergence of various high-impact applications, through the use of low-cost hardware and software, with functionalities similar to traditional equipment where the difference lies in the cost of acquisition and implementation. Such is the case of the use of Virtual Reality Technologies and Brain-Computer Interfaces. In the present work we developed a method to interact devices based on BCI technology and Virtual Reality, in order to record measurements of attention, meditation and EEG signals when interacting with virtual reality glasses, in various situations, the device used is a low cost brain computer interface, working in conjunction with the Virtual Reality glasses of the Oculus Gest 2 model. The proposed methodology can be applied in multiple areas and applications, we present applications in the areas of education and health, exploiting the working with multiple virtual scenarios, where the student can evaluate the level of attention with respect as well as brain behavior measured by EEG signals, similar case we present applications in the area of health, where the patient can perform rehabilitation treatments by visual stimulation through virtual reality scenarios.
