N2 - The aim of this project was to minimize the expenditures linked to the quality of an agro-industrial company specializing in artichokes situated in Trujillo, Peru. Our initial step involved an in-depth assessment of the company's production lines, revealing several key issues: the absence of a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan, insufficient quality oversight in the packaging department, shortages in raw materials, and a deficiency in staff training across various process lines. We employed various statistical control and quality management tools to scrutinize the indicators associated with each identified cause. Techniques such as the Ishikawa Diagram, Pareto Diagram, Quality Function Deployment (QFD) incorporating its Quality House, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and the DMAIC Six Sigma Methodology were instrumental in achieving cost reductions. Upon the completion of our study, the outcomes proved favorable; we successfully mitigated monetary losses linked to each root cause while enhancing the statistical performance of the analyzed indicators. Specifically, the Z Level witnessed improvement across all four indicators. Initially, the company incurred losses amounting to S/ 74,545.50 Soles, which, following our intervention, decreased to S/ 58,726.5 Soles, resulting in a net benefit of S/ 15,819.00 Soles.
