N2 - This research is carried out to contribute to obtaining drinking water. The objective was to determine the quality of rainwater through treatment using granular activated carbon, zeolite and sand in the city of Cajamarca.. Three types of filters were applied, obtaining the following results: Activated Carbon: Total Coliforms (PM) -98.77%, Escherichia Coli -75.31%, Turbidity (UNT) -84.27%, Hydrogen Potential (PH) +66.38% and Color 0.00 %. Zeolite: Total Coliforms (PM) 0.00%, Escherichia Coli 220.99%, Turbidity (UNT) 176.00%, Hydrogen Potential (PH) +26.00% and Color + 890.00%. Sand: Total Coliforms (PM) -90.00%, Escherichia Coli -55.56%, Turbidity (UNT) +132.80%, Hydrogen Potential (PH) +19.58% and Color +400.00%. Better results were obtained with the Activated Carbon filter, the quality of rainwater improves between 20% and 80%.
