Abstract

In recent years, smart grid has presented as an innovative solution that enhances electrical systems to satisfy growing demand while maximizing the efficiency of the system. This paper focused on technical and economic power scheduling in an electrical distribution grid (EDG) with the smart multi-performance of the demand side. The proposed approach for power scheduling in EDG is implemented by a two-level optimization approach with consideration of the contribution of the smart multi-performance of the demand side. In the upper level, the implementation of the demand side management strategies such as consumption load reduction (CLR) strategy and onsite power generation (OPG) is scheduled for minimizing bills of the demand side. In the following, in the lower layer optimization, the revenue of the electrical company (EC) and the efficiency of EDG are maximized considering scheduled load demand in the upper level optimization, respectively. The optimization in the two-level is modeled as multi-criteria functions, and the optimization of consumers' bills is done subject to power prices in the electrical company. The enhanced epsilon-constraint method and fuzzy based-weight sum solution are used for solving the two-level approach and multi-criteria functions. In the end, the results show the optimal amounts of the multi-criteria functions in each level based on a comparative examination of different case studies considering the demand side's contribution.
