Abstract

Many cultures in the highlands region have indirectly stabilized their soils or paths on their paths, being the case of Baños del Inca - Cajamarca, the people or community members of the area add pine and eucalyptus ashes indirectly to their roads; This research aims to evaluate the physical mechanical properties of a soil in the area of Baños del Inca - Shaullo chico, the research is of a quantitative approach, of an experimental type having a base sample of a soil without adding any type of ash and then with each type of ash that is extracted from Shaullo Chico and from there the addition of 2% and 4% of pine and eucalyptus ash, to obtain the Proctor and the C.B.R; the standard sample obtained a PROCTOR of 1.61 g/cm3 and CBR of 1.55 g/cm3, with 2% pine ash in Proctor it reaches 1.80 g/cm3 and CBR with 1.74 g/cm3, 4% pine ash 1.90 g/cm3 and in CBR with 1.89 g/cm3, 2% eucalyptus ash in PROCTOR 1.94 g/cm3 and in CBR at 1.90 g/cm3 and 4% eucalyptus ash PROCTOR 1.62 g/cm3 and CBR 1.73 g/cm3, the difference between the highest value reached in the standard sample being 16.79% with 2% eucalyptus ash; it is observed that there is an increase in soil resistance with the addition of eucalyptus and pine ash, as well as an increase in the C.B.R, concluding that there is an increase in both pine and eucalyptus of the CBR.
