Propuesta de gestión de inventarios para reducir los tiempos de despacho de una empresa automotriz, Trujillo 2024

The main objective of this research is to determine the influence of the proposed inventory management on the dispatch times of an automotive company, Trujillo 2024. A pre-experimental quantitative methodology was used on a sample comprised of dispatch, warehousing, and distribution processes. Four root causes that most affect dispatch times were identified: lack of staff training in the processes, the availability of vehicles in the warehouse for rapid delivery, compliance with maintaining an orderly warehouse, and compliance with the inventory policy. All of these root causes generate an economic loss of S/. 62,362.00. Therefore, improvement tools were designed, such as flowcharts, Inventory Policy, ABC classification, and the 5S method. An economic evaluation of the improvement proposal was then conducted, obtaining an NPV of S/. 23,381.16. IRR: 62%. B/C of 1.34. Based on these indicators, it was concluded that designing inventory management to reduce dispatch times is viable and economically profitable.
