Propuesta de mejora con el uso de herramientas de gestión de la calidad para reducir los costos operativos en un molino de alimento balanceado para aves, Trujillo 2024

The main objective of this research work is to define an improvement proposal using statistical control and quality management tools, to reduce the operating costs of a company dedicated to the production of balanced feed for poultry in the city of Trujillo. The study was based on formal and exact science by nature, and diagnostic and proactive in terms of design. To begin with, a situational diagnosis of the company was made, using the Ishikawa diagram, thus finding the main root causes affecting the company's operating costs, which mainly concern in general the maintenance of machines, working methods, inventory management and raw material warehouse. A detailed descriptive statistical study was carried out based on the data collected for each root cause, the monetization of the losses was processed in a Pareto diagram to verify which root cause has the greatest economic impact on the study. Likewise, the methodology was developed with the use of engineering tools such as QFD, FMEA and DEMAIC Six Sigma, which allowed to propose the necessary improvement proposal to optimize the situation of the company under study, thus achieving a visible improvement, giving solutions to the initial root causes, and defining measures for future control based on customer requirements and the quality of the product/service delivered. In addition, a general economic analysis of the proposed improvement proposal was carried out, resulting in an NPV of S/. 66,967.49, an IRR of 75.33% (higher than the proposed COK of 20%) and a PRI of 3 years, values that indicate that the proposal is economically viable.
