Propuesta de mejora en gestión logística para reducir costos operativos en un almacén de alimentos no perecibles

The objective of this research was to determine the impact of a logistics management improvement proposal on operating costs in a non-perishable food warehouse. A formal science-based research project was conducted with a proactive diagnostic research design. The causes of high costs were diagnosed as non-standardized processes, a lack of trained personnel, and inadequate maintenance, generating losses of S/ 37,484.33. The improvement proposal was developed by addressing each root cause with improvement tools such as time study, training plans, and TPM, projecting a reduction in operating costs to S/ 6,283.55, with an investment of S/ 27,303.70. Finally, an economic and financial evaluation of the proposal was conducted, yielding an VNA of S/ 49,312.30 and an TIR of 55.30%. In conclusion, this confirms that this proposal is economically viable and profitable.
