N2 - The present research project was carried out with the objective of determining the compressive and flexural strength of compacted adobe with the addition of used engine oil and kitchen waste oil at 1%, 1.25% and 1.5%. The study approach was quantitative, with a sample of 140 adobe blocks, 70 adobes for the compression test and 70 adobes for the flexural test. The results obtained for the compressive strength test showed that the addition of used engine oil increased by 10.47%, while the addition of kitchen waste oil increased by 18.35%. In relation to the results of the flexural strength test with the addition of used engine oil, it increased by 8.96%, while the addition of kitchen waste oil increased by 15.86%. In summary, the addition of used engine oil and kitchen waste oil enhanced the mechanical capacity of compacted adobes, thus exceeding the proposed hypothesis, reaching strengths greater than 7%.
