Abstract

The processes were analyzed at a gas station in Lima, Peru, which offers three different types of fuel, with historical information on the demands and the service, the random behavior of vehicle arrivals and service times was estimated, the service time was simulated. Fuel-sale process using the ProModel simulation program and a proposal to improve the service was made by modifying the capacities of the pumps, adapting them to the estimated demand. The number of NGV pumps was reduced to just one since the number of vehicles that needed this product was lower. The change made to this initial simulation demonstrated an increase from 49.9 to 67.74% in the NGV pump area.
