N2 - This research was carried out with the objective of publicizing the use of automated irrigation systems in corn crops for agricultural farms, based on the review of the scientific literature since 2010 and 2020. This work was developed following the steps established by the PRISMA strategy. After conducting a systematic search of the studies published in the previously mentioned period of time, 37 investigations were selected, which were extracted from databases such as: SCIELO, Dialnet, EBSCOhost, among others. To select the papers, search criteria such as IMRD structure, language and study quality were used. The results obtained describe different strategies for the use of automated irrigation systems in corn crops, which can be grouped into 3 categories according to their contributions: the first refers to environmental factors in the crop; the second, to the use of fertilizers; the third refers to irrigation performance. And the second categorization made according to the type of irrigation used we have 4 categories: drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, gravity irrigation and finally deficient irrigation. In accordance with the aforementioned, it is concluded that the implementation of automated irrigation systems is notable in corn crops, because they allow managing the water resource required by the crop plants.
