N2 - Biodiesel from used oils is a biofuel that was born out of concern about the increase in greenhouse gases and the poor disposal of waste used oils. Based on this, the present work aims to describe the performance of biodiesel from used oils according to the research journals published in scientific databases in the last 10 years. For this, a systematic review was carried out with the prisma methodology, mainly using the ALICIA, Scielo and ScienceDirect databases, between the years 2012 and 2022. Through the exclusion and selection process, 30 articles were selected for their topicality and relevance. When analyzing the articles, the result was that to generate biodiesel, transesterification through KOH is mostly used; on the other hand, the highest yield was 98.82% with NaOH. Regarding the limitations that were visualized, they were the exclusion of several articles due to their age and their different methodologies. From the analysis carried out, it is inferred that having a high percentage of yield will generate an optimal biodiesel from used oils, which gives a high viability and benefit both for the environment and for society.
