N2 - Population growth is increasing, and resources to satisfy the needs of humanity are scarce, which is why the cultivation of hydrobiological species is a great alternative solution, one of the most studied species are Oreochromis niloticus, O. aureus, etc. The present research project was based on the phenotypic validation of thermal thermal shock for the eco-friendly production of alternative seed of Oreochromis aureus in tropical aquaculture. For this, we worked with tilapia specimens that presented eggs or mouth-brooding larvae, where the artificial reproduction of O. aureus, based on three treatments and three repetitions considering temperatures of 39, 40 and 41 °C with exposure to thermal shock of 2 to 5 minutes. An FCA of 1.68 for diploid fry and 1.65 for triploid fry was obtained at the 60-day stage. The greatest increase in weight (49.7%) was for triploid fry compared to diploid fry (47.0%), in addition to uniform growth and better performance. The treatment with the best results for the hatching of fertilized eggs was T2 (40 °C x 60 Seconds) with a value of 86%. What was sought was to make efficient use of water, food consumption and rearing time, by not using any sexual reversal hormone in fish.
