N2 - The objective of this research work is to determine the economic valuation of noise by a contingent method in the district of Jesús María, in the year 2022. Therefore, a descriptive investigation was carried out, with a quantitative approach and non-experimental design. The sample was to survey 382 people who live and work in the district of Jesús María, which will help to recognize the perception of noise and its economic valuation. The technique used was the survey and documentary analysis. The instruments used were a questionnaire containing 18 questions and a data record sheet. The results show us that 77.17% of the surveyed population are willing to pay an amount to mitigate the noise. In the case of the remaining 22.83% participants who do not wish to pay, the reason most frequently given was "I do not wish to pay"; In addition, the estimate of their willingness to pay was between s/. 6.00 to s/.8.00 soles quarterly. This study concludes that the population of the Jesús María district has a positive willingness to pay for the implementation of a project to reduce vehicular noise, since there is a negative perception towards noise.
