Method: The PRISMA method was used to help systematize the review of articles in a transparent way, the databases used were Scopus, Redalyc, Scielo, Dialnet, Emerald, Web of Science and Google Scholar, leaving 25 articles for the work. Results: In view of a compilation of consultations by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics, statistically women are the most affected by physical, sexual and psychological violence. Men, girls, boys and older adults have a low percentage of such problems. According to the Women's Emergency Centers (CEM) reported a total of 22,095 cases of violence against women, in which they provided support to various female victims suffering from family, physical, psychological and sexual violence. Conclusion: Violence against women is a public problem that continues to have repercussions in Peru, which to this day continues to be minimized by society in general.
