N2 - The organizations have been evolving, trying to differentiate themselves through a management that identifies them, applying different management methods, and at the same time the administration of human capital. The management of the work environment represents a fundamental factor in the welfare of employees. The present research has a quantitative, non-experimental approach of descriptivecorrelational type, the unit of study are the 40 workers of the Peruvian customs operator company in Callao being the variables of study the work performance through the dimensions task performance, counterproductive behavior, and contextual performance, and in the case of the work environment variable, the dimensions are leadership, recognition and cooperation. The objective of the research is to determine the relationship between work climate and work performance in order to contribute through a proposal that covers the improvement of the understanding of the behavior of employees by analyzing the processes that affect their daily work and are related to their work performance, seeking to impact on the achievement of the objectives of the organization and to be a model for organizations in the same or similar fields.
