Resumen

The research aimed to select a low environmental impact material, easily obtained in rural populations, in order to improve the mechanical properties of adobe and determine the compressive strength of stabilized adobe by incorporating coal ash and eucalyptus wood sawdust in different percentages. The research was of an experimental type carried out at the Universidad Privada del Norte - Cajamarca Campus (UPN), where 60 units of adobe blocks were produced in the Cinva Ram machine, classified into 5 types, conventional adobe, adobe plus 2% and 3% coal ash and adobe plus 3% and 5% wood sawdust; Subsequently, the samples were tested after 28 days in the compressive strength machine, obtaining: for conventional adobe 38.57 kg / cm2, adobe plus 2% and 3% coal ash with values of 55.45 kg / cm2 and 25.93 kg / cm2 respectively, and for adobe plus 3% and 5% wood sawdust 25.76 kg / cm2 and 25.90 kg / cm2 respectively. It was concluded that the incorporation of 3% coal ash to conventional adobe increased the compressive strength by 43.76% compared to conventional adobe.
