Resumen

Resumen : This research aims to analyze the aerodynamic behavior of the Zentrum Paul Klee, evaluating the velocities and pressures on its undulating surface represented by the mathematical equation z=sin(cos(x−y)) as a model of the building's surface. The research involved meshing and converting the solid to a STEP file in Autodesk Fusion, which was then recognized by Autodesk Inventor software to model the building's structure in a three-dimensional way. Subsequently, in Autodesk CFD, a simulation was carried out in which a mesh was generated to solve the Navier-Stokes equations using numerical finite difference methods, which allowed a more accurate simulation of the behavior of the airflow. It is crucial to consider the effects of wind when designing and constructing buildings, as wind generates loads on the structure. Wind analysis poses considerable challenges in construction, as its impact can be difficult to predict without advanced simulations. That is why, when carrying out this study, crucial data was obtained on the interaction of the current lines on the surface of the building, which allowed to analyze its design and efficiency. The results show a clear relationship between the undulating shape, reduction of wind drag force and increased aerodynamic drag, highlighting its implications for aerodynamic efficiency. This study not only delves into aerodynamic analysis but also provides valuable tools for sustainable design and improvement of structural efficiency in future buildings with complex geometries.
