Aplicación de análisis geoespacial para la clasificación de suelos en la región La Libertad, Perú. 2020

The main objective of the research work was to update the soil classification map of the La Libertad region. The research is descriptive, and its sample was represented by all the soils of the studied region. To do this, we worked with the Earth Explorer, Google Earth and ArcGis 10.8 programs, which allowed us to identify, evaluate and classify the soils present according to the Land Classification system for its Major Use Capacity in the study region. The results obtained were that the La Libertad region is made up of five groups of soils, occupying the following areas: Protected lands with 66.69%, Lands suitable for pasture with 16.70%, Lands suitable for clean cultivation with 14.93%, Lands suitable for forest production with 1.53% and Land suitable for permanent crops with 0.15%. Concluding that the economic and population growth of the La Libertad region has brought with it a strong pressure on natural resources. Therefore, it is important to have an updated management document as it will a llo w establishing adequate strategies for the sustained use of the land in the development of the population.
