Resumen
This research aims to reduce operational costs in quality management for the company QUIMIINDUSTRIA S.A.C. It is an explanatory type of research, which explains the difference between a current situation and an improved one. Diagnostic tools used include: the Ishikawa diagram, Pareto analysis, histograms, control charts, frequency charts, and normal distribution. Subsequently, improvement tools were applied, which included: Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and DMAIC Six Sigma. The causes of losses for the company were identified as: lack of machine maintenance, lack of personnel training, lack of standardization of times, and lack of control in mixing measurements. The indicators for these issues are: the number of machine stoppages, the quantity of defective cleaning liquid in liters, the number of out-of-time products, and products of poor quality, respectively. After implementing the proposed tools, an improvement in the Z level was achieved as follows: 2.23, 1.54, 2.44, and 2.44, respectively; as a result, an annual benefit of S/12384 was obtained, with a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/5148.2 and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 42.40%. Therefore, the viability of the improvement tools was determined. This is because these tools are efficient and help significantly reduce costs, increasing profitability for the company.
