Aplicación de las Herramientas de Gestión de la Calidad para mejorar la producción de la empresa de calzado JAGUAR S.A.C. Trujillo – La Libertad, 2023

This research aims to determine the positive impact that Quality Management tools have on cost reduction in order to increase the production of the company JAGUAR S.A.C. located in the city of Trujillo, Peru. The work began with a general diagnosis of the company, focusing on its productive areas, using Statistical Quality Control tools and the cost of total losses. The research concludes with a proposal and implementation of improvement using Quality Management tools. Four main causes reflecting the problem of cost overruns in the company were identified: Lack of preventive maintenance, lack of production planning, lack of coordination with suppliers to acquire raw materials, and lack of staff training. After monetizing each root cause, all cost overruns amounted to a total of S/ 63,098.00 soles. By implementing the improvements resulting from Quality Function Deployment (QFD) with its Quality House, recommendations from Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and the DMAIC Six Sigma Methodology, the loss due to cost overruns decreased to S/ 44,782.00 soles. Therefore, it is assumed that the application of Quality Management tools to improve the production of the company JAGUAR S.A.C. generated a benefit of S/ 18,316.00 soles.
