N2 - The objective of this research is to determine the impact of the quality management improvement proposal on the production process of the company providing industrial consumables in the city of Trujillo, Peru. It begins with a diagnosis of the company's production areas using the Ishikawa diagram, which identified 4 causes for cost overrun problems: Lack of maintenance of the transportation fleet, lack of demand planning for Lube, Lack of training in Lube import operations, and lack of personnel in the operational and administrative areas. After monetizing the root causes, the cost overruns amounted to S/1’086,380.00 soles. By implementing the improvements resulting from Quality Function Deployment (QFD) with its Quality House, recommendations from Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and the DMAIC Six Sigma Methodology, the loss due to cost overruns decreased to S/634,660.00 soles. Therefore, the application of Quality Management tools successfully enhances the production of the company dedicated to providing industrial consumables, ultimately generating a benefit of S/451,720.00 soles.
