Aplicación de las Herramientas de Gestión de la Calidad para mejorar la producción de la empresa Tecavi, Pacasmayo - La Libertad, 2022

The main objective of this work is to determine how the application of production and quality management tools can improve the internal operations and increase sales of the Tecavi company in the city of Pacasmayo, La Libertad department. Initially, a diagnosis of the current situation of the company is conducted for each area of study. The production area is selected for analysis due to the identified critical issues, particularly the high number of defective products leading to significant losses of raw materials and finished products. The research work also presents a proposal for improvement and the corresponding economic and financial evaluation. The proposal addresses some of the issues negatively impacting on the company's profitability, including lack of machinery maintenance, inadequate staff training, failure to meet production goals, and improper handling of raw materials. The improvement proposal for the production area is based on quantitative research and includes methodologies and tools to control the processes used in product development and manufacturing. The goal is to ensure that products are consistently and timely manufactured, avoiding defects and associated costs. Finally, based on the analyzed and collected information, and with the diagnostic assessment in place, an analysis of the results is presented to quantitatively validate the evidence presented. The proposed improvements in the production area are expected to increase the company's profitability, resulting in a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/. 8,802.52 and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 37.27%.
