Resumen

The main objective of this pre-experimental study was to design, implement and test an electronic device to improve Braille reading and writing speed in visually disability people. It was designed with 10 braille cells (5 for reading and 5 for writing) that changed their content electromechanically depending on the option chosen. In reading, braille codes were displayed in the cells to be read by touch and verified by audio. In writing, an audio (vowel, syllable, etc.) was generated and the Braille combination was entered in the 3x2 matrix of buttons and the equipment verified it. A positive influence of the device in the educational inclusion of people with visual disabilities was proven.
