Resumen

The main objective of this research was to determine the influence of the addition of 4% and 6% of construction waste [CW] in the improvement of the physical-mechanical properties of the granular material for its use in pavements according to the Manual de Carreteras-Especificaciones Técnicas Generales para Const rucción [EG-2013]. An experimental investigation was proposed, varying the addition of concrete construction waste 210 kg/cm2 [CCW] to 4% and 6%. It is shown that adding CCW improves the granulometry of the material, has an inversely proportional relationship with the liquid limit, and does not present plasticity. Regarding the standard sam ple with the addition of 4% and 6% CCW, the percentage of loss to abrasion is reduced by 4.09% and 10.28%, and the CCW increases by 4.9% and 11.30%, respectively, at each percentage added. In con clusion the CCW improves the granular material's physical-mechanical properties to be used as affirmed.
