Resumen

The dangerous consequences of the use of cyberspace are increasingly greater and constant, regardless of the age range or educational level. Young people use the Internet daily to carry out various activities, and they do not always know the risks to which they are exposed due to cybercrime. The study's objective is to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge about cybersecurity and the prevention of social cybercrime in secondary education female students in the year 2023. Basic cross-sectional descriptive correlational research was carried out that included a questionnaire with a Likert scale that was applied to 48 third-year female students - years of secondary education. To measure the results, the Rho Spearman was used, finding a significant correlation (p=0.0010<0.001) between the ordinal variables X: level of knowledge about cybersecurity, and Y: degree of prevention of social cybercrime. It was concluded that knowledge of cybersecurity prevents cyberstalking and cyberbullying.
