Resumen

In this systematic review, it is analyzed and investigated how the effect of various polluting materials harmful to the environment can be used to improve soil stabilization. Several sources have been analyzed about the use of polluting residues such as rubber, concrete, glass, slag, ashes, polymers, among others. The analyzed results show that the dosages whose addition of Portland cement and sugar cane bagasse ash considerably increase the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) in soils whose classification is silty sand (SM), with variations ranging from 24.5% to 142%. On the other hand, there are analyzed results that show that the dosages whose addition of biomass ash and mining inerts increase the CBR on a smaller scale in soils whose classification is Inorganic Clay (CL) where it only increases from 2.1% to 2.6%, while the Plasticity Index (PI) manages to reduce from 54.7% to 32%. And for the dosages with rubber, in a first study it was observed that the CBR decreased from 26.27% to 22.70% and in a second study it was observed that the CBR increased from 5.2% to 12.2% in soils with CL classification. However, although there were some limitations such as the selection of not very old articles, the ease of access to paid articles and the inclusion of reliable sources that are not related to the proposed topic, the present study provides valuable and solid information that will be useful for future research related to soil stabilization.
