Resumen

Information and communication technologies are evolving rapidly in different areas, one of them is health, therefore there are different devices on the market that perform measurements to medical variables, the continued use of new wearable devices, is causing that they can be adapted in processes for clinical treatments. In this work we performed a protocol for rehabilitation of carpal tunnel syndrome, using a wearable device MYO, which provides a simultaneous recording of the muscle activity of the arm, using 8 electromyography sensors, with the information obtained by the device, helps to improve the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. The details of how to perform the rehabilitation treatment are presented, as well as the help of the device in the rehabilitation process, carrying an objective analysis related to the measurement of muscle activity. As a result, we present the rehabilitation protocol used in conjunction with the device, as conclusions we present the ways of using the device and how to implement it in clinical practice.
